Troubleshooting Miele Dishwasher Common Issues
The program does not start
- Check that the power cord is correctly inserted and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Check that the door is closed properly and that the correct program has been selected and started.
The appliance does not start immediately when switched on
- Do not switch the machine off. Some Miele dishwashers are equipped with a water softener reactivation cycle which is automatically activated on program start and lasts approx. 10 mins. After this, the appliance then continues as normal.
The inlet/drain indicator is flashing
- Check that the water valves are opened fully or whether the water inlet hose is kinked. Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and clean it, if necessary, as described in the operating instructions. Check that the drain pump is not clogged. This can be cleaned as described in the operating instructions. Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to “Stop/End” or press the “Start/Stop” switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. If the fault message reappears, please contact our Customer Service.
All indicators are flashing

“F..” appears in the display
- Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to “Stop/End” or press the “Start/Stop” switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. If the fault message reappears, please contact our Customer Service.
